Dallas Children’s Health Holiday Parade

Join 103.7 KVIL for the 27th Annual Dallas Children’s Health Holiday Parade, Delivered by Pizza Hut marching through the streets of downtown Dallas on Saturday, December 6th at 10 a.m.

The best holiday traditions become great family memories, and adults and kids of all ages will delight in the season’s most spectacular event. From marching bands to festive floats to larger-than-life balloons, the Dallas Children’s Health Holiday Parade is the place to be on the first Saturday in December.

Celebrate the hope and healing that Children’s Health brings to patients all year long, and some patients with big personalities will join in the fun during the parade.

The Dallas Children’s Health Holiday Parade is free, but families should load up the sleigh and arrive early for the best viewing locations. Tickets for reserved bleacher seating are available for purchase online at www.Childrens.com/Parade.

Dallas weather can be unpredictable, so wear your favorite holiday sweater for warmth, and feel free to bring blankets or chairs to sit on. Official parade merchandise and snacks will be available for sale along the parade route.

The magical celebration starts on Commerce at Market Street, marches toward the east side of downtown, and then makes a loop as it continues back toward City Hall.

If a winter cap isn’t your style, don your best cowboy hat and cheer on the marchers in the “Deep in the Heart of Texas” themed part of the parade. The world-famous Cowboy Band of Hardin-Simmons University will show their Lone Star style, while the TSU Strutters will bring along a cattle drive complete with a chuck wagon.

Watch the skies as Fred Flintstone, Care Bear, Scooby Doo, Clifford and four other balloons share the air with downtown Dallas’ signature skyscrapers.

Miss America, Miss Texas, and of course Santa and Mrs. Claus will march among the crowds, along with costumed characters such as Curious George, Yo Gabba Gabba, Peppa Pig, Spiderman and Batman.

There’s also plenty of fun before and after the Parade, so plan to come early and stay awhile after the parade. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and other groups will perform in front of the Adolphus Hotel; the Air Force Band and other groups will perform at Main Street Garden; and other bands and carolers will perform at City Hall Plaza and at Belo Garden.

Tickets for bleacher seating at the Dallas Children’s Health Holiday Parade are available for purchase online at www.Childrens.com/Parade. Ticket prices begin at $22.50, and tickets are limited, so families should buy tickets early.

Great viewing locations are available for free all along the route, so families from the North Pole to North Dallas and points in between should come down to enjoy the festivities and fun family activities.

Pack light! Leave your larger bags and backpacks at home. It will be easier to find space to enjoy the parade, and ensure others have space to enjoy the event as well.

Don’t worry about packing food! Vendors will offer holiday treats and beverages for sale all along the parade route.

Dress in layers, but leave bulky clothing at home! As the morning and the parade progress, the day will get warmer. If you get cold, consider treating yourself to a commemorative Holiday Parade sweatshirt – all purchases support the mission of Children’s Health!
